    • @F LD No judgment here, these devices are designed to be addictive and I know for a fact that it's not just young people. The main issue is with any screen you get "instant reward" and in the long run you loose the hability to enjoy little things, to feel happy, to focus, they consume your time and energy .. In an nutshell It has got do with Dopamine and the Reward system. I can give you a list of things I do, but keep in mind that you can't build new habits in a day, so start one step at a time. Try to put your screens away for at least 2-3 hours a day at first, and don't be afraid of missing stuff out on social media (trust me you won't). Hiding them away might help to resist the urge. There are plenty of other things you could come up with. For a start : anything creative is a big yes. You can write, draw, paint, play music, make objects. Using your hands to make things is very good. I like to cook and learn new recipes, the fact that you have to pay attention to details and to use your hands make it very relaxing. Sport is very important too, it can have a big effect on your mood. It doesn't need to be much (like 20mn everyday ) and there are exercises you can do even in quarantine. Also when I go for a walk I like to pay attention to details (it could be the archeticture or just the shape of clouds). Even reading a book is better than reading on a screen because you have to focus on one story at a time. I could go on forever but I think this comment is already too long. I hope this will help you or someone.
